Artist Statement

My artistic research explores themes of otherworldly fantasy and make-believe, blending high fantasy with the supernatural to create immersive, magical worlds. My work aims to transport viewers from the mundane into realms of adventure and wonder. For me, the creative process itself is a form of escapism, drawing me into a universe of my own design.

I utilize intermedia practices such as digital drawing, ceramics, and sculptural techniques, combining both physical and digital materials to craft tactile, handmade experiences. The handmade quality of my art is especially significant, as it deepens my connection to the work and enhances the immersive quality of my worlds. By reimagining simple, everyday occurrences as magical and extraordinary, I intertwine elements of daily life with fantasy.

Ultimately, my work strives to evoke a sense of childlike wonder and delight, encouraging viewers to rediscover their playful imagination. Storytelling and worldbuilding are central to my practice, as I seek to guide others into the fantastical unknown and momentarily escape the ordinary.
